BEAUTIFUL DREAMER

Drunk on rhythms and wine
An orchestration of languages
Running eternally
Through the arteries of time

The sun is setting in a big red blotch
In the center of your forehead
Forcing love outside of its temple
And on to the skin
Where the dream is drawn
And frantic waves of electric light
Strip the skin of its pigment

I want you to hold me
Because the night will be stalking its young
Like an animal held in captivity
And white angelic wingspreads
Seem to protrude from your shoulders
Like birds releasing themselves from a cage

The ground is trembling
Your whole body shakes
At the thought of the stars
Exploding on the edge of infinity
Stray dogs seek each others scent
With awkward innocence

As you bow your head
Believing for a moment
That all your bleeding memories
Will take leave of your heart
By themselves
